New RIFLE AirLite Meets Heavy Demand

By Anonymous

TORRINGTON, CT — Satisfying growing demand from golfers around the world, Royal Precision has completed full production of the new Rifle AirLite, the golf industry’s first sub-100-gram, stepless steel shaft. Engineered by Royal Precision — America’s first steel shaft manufacturer — the new Rifle AirLite steel shafts combine an innovative lightweight steel design with Royal Precision’s Tour-proven stepless technology.

Far more than other lightweight steel shafts, Rifle AirLite shafts incorporate the performance benefits of Royal Precision’s Stepless Technology. With a constant weight of 94 grams for all lengths (96 grams for S-flex), the Rifle AirLite is the first STEPLESS steel shaft introduced to the golf world that weighs less than 100 grams. Other steel shafts in the same weight range possess step-down designs which have periodic sharp-angles along the shaft to reduce the diameter. These steep angles create weak points in the shaft that actually act as stress risers, however, the Rifle AirLite’s stepless design facilitates the transfer of energy more smoothly and is more durable throughout the life of the shaft.

“As is the case with the entire family of Rifle shafts, the stepless profile of the Rifle AirLite yields more efficient energy transfer at impact,” explains Kim Braly, renowned shaft designer and researcher for Royal Precision. “In addition to greater energy transfer, tests prove that the Rifle AirLite provides a tighter dispersion pattern and a 5% reduction in ball spin rate which can yield a longer hang time, quicker launch, and is highly beneficial to mid- to high-handicappers.”

The Rifle AirLite is the lightest Rifle steel shaft ever!

Rifle AirLite steel irons are available in a 94-gram R-flex, 96-gram S-flex, and in 0.355-inch and 0.370 tip diameters.
